Hi... I'm Danielle Lawson -- DigitalDivaPhd.

Just like anyone who has worked in the corporate world for more than a few years, I have been on the receiving end of my share of layoffs and the resulting job search.

I know what it feels like to show up for work, only to get called into a meeting with your supervisor and an unexpected 'HR representative'. I vividly remember the feeling of ice water rushing through my veins as I read that meeting notice.

By the time you're shown out of the building, you're numb while your mind races with -- 'What do I do now? I need to update my resume. I wonder how many jobs I can apply for today.'

About My Systems ... Agile Job Search Strategies for Women

The last time I was laid off, I leveraged my background in digital communication, training, and Agile project management, along with my knowledge of how HR departments use and program their AI Applicant Tracking System software, to get back on my feet and find a job.

And it worked! Within a month, I'd landed another job at another Fortune 500 company.

A friend lost her job about the same time I was hired, so I passed my job search planning notes on to her. She passed them on to another friend. And before long, the 'Layoff Lemonade Stand' Job Search System was born.

From there, it grew. Listening to my friends complain about their applications 'vanishing' into ATS platforms without any sort of callback, I used my background in AI programming and Generative AI to further develop tools to help job seekers use AI more effectively in order to 'beat' the ATS systems and get their job applications into the hands of REAL people.

What started as a way to get myself back on track has grown into several systems designed to help other women do the same — get back on track with clarity, confidence, and tools that actually work in today’s hiring landscape.
